What is CSLarp?

CSLarp is a free, browser-based career simulator for tactical shooter esports. Instead of watching a pro career unfold, you play through one: starting as an unproven academy rookie and grinding, season after season, toward (maybe) becoming the best in the world.

Every career starts the same way. You build a player from scratch (nationality, role, five core attributes), then sign with whichever team is willing to take a chance on you. From there, the game plays out season by season. You'll face random events and branching decisions with real odds attached, negotiate transfers, risk getting released, and chase the two things that actually define a career: your world ranking and your trophy case.

Why a career sim instead of a management sim?

Most esports games put you in charge of a whole roster or organization. CSLarp does the opposite: it's about one career, seen entirely from the player's own perspective. That means the stakes are personal. A bad season doesn't just cost your team a match, it costs you your starting spot, your morale, maybe your contract.

What's actually being simulated

• Five core attributes (AWP:ing, Entry:ing, Game Sense, Utility, Communication) that shift after nearly every season and decision, weighted differently depending on your role.
• A tiered team structure, from Tier 3 academy sides up to the very top of the scene, with contracts, transfers, releases, and squad morale all genuinely affecting your career arc.
• A world ranking system modeled on how real rankings actually behave: winning a Major, or an MVP caliber season, moves the needle far more than a quiet good year.
• A full career Timeline, an Achievements list, and a shareable Career Summary card you can download once you retire.
• A global Leaderboard, so your finished career can be measured against every other career that's been played.

Is CSLarp affiliated with Valve, Counter-Strike, or HLTV?

No. CSLarp is an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation, the Counter-Strike franchise, or HLTV. Every team in the default roster is fictional, and player names, results, and events are generated by the simulation rather than referring to any real person. Is it free?

Yes. CSLarp is free to play in your browser, with no download and no account required to play a career. Progress saves locally in your browser. An optional global Leaderboard lets you submit a finished career if you choose to.
